January 27-31
And January is already over! This Friday was the 90th day of school and one of my students said, "I like that we are getting closer and closer to summer but it also means that we are getting closer and closer to saying good-bye to our teachers in first grade and I don't like that."
Notes for home:
This week we...
*Will be planning our 100th Day of School class celebration next week!! :o)
Notes for home:

This week we...
- continued to work with numbers larger than 10. We are discovering patterns of counting by tens by using the Number Line Hotel. Specifically we are looking at the difference of counting by ones or tens on the number line and the addition problems that go with them.
- practiced our Reader's Theatre lines and made invitations for our families!!
- continued to learn about our world through maps. New vocabulary words this week were states, countries, and continents. Looking forward to next week as we build our own globes in the classroom!
- worked with more consonant blends in reading workshop (bl, sl, gl, and pl)
- met with 4P reading buddies to finish our snowman Venn diagrams and share a book from the library!
